Nestled in San Francisco, Cracked and Battered is quaint and adorable with a welcoming atmosphere. I was immediately greeted and welcomed and chose outdoor seating instead of indoor to take advantage of the outdoor seating. The southerner in me knows this is a must on a crisp, cloudy San Francisco morning.

I ordered the OJ and carrot juice. The juice was freshly squeezed packed with a beautiful balance of the two juices. It was so refreshingly light and wonderful. Let's be honest, the chicken and waffles is what brought you here, so let's get to business. The waffle was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside with a kiss of vanilla flavoring. It paired nicely with the lightly battered chicken thigh that was seasoned visibly with salt and pepper. It's hard to get a perfect chicken thigh that is moist, well seasoned, and balanced protein without it being a grease pocket.

Yall, it was filling. Don't worry about getting eggs, you don't need them for a filling breakfast. I'm thankful I wore spandex tights because it was well needed after breakfast! Yummy delight and so glad I listened to the recommendations/reviews coming from The Golden Gate Bridge.

Cracked & Battered has been in my bookmarks for a while now, and I am so glad that I was able to visit for brunch recently! It was a characteristically cold SF day, and unfortunately, all the tables inside were taken, so we decided to sit outside. It did get pretty cold, so I would recommend that you definitely dress for the weather as there were no heat lamps outside.

Like most restaurants in the Marina now, you order via a QR code at the table, which allowed our party to take our time with the menu and made ordering easier. We ordered the chicken and waffles, a stack of pancakes and C&B plate. This was the JUICIEST chicken that I have had at brunch, and it was so flavorful! The waffles were also perfect - they were light and fluffy, and I really enjoyed the mini size of them on the C&B plate. I do wish there was a bit more seasoning on the potatoes, because they were a bit bland and made the dish a little one dimensional. The pancakes were also pretty good - we only had a few bites of it because these plates were actually pretty generous portions. The pancakes were definitely more dense than the waffles, but still fluffy and full of flavor.

I would 100% come back here for their chicken and waffles - don't miss out on this delicious brunch spot!

Came here after the SF marathon on a Sunday morning, there were a lot of people inside and outside the restaurant but surprisingly we were seated within 20 minutes. Really friendly staff and if you're dining inside the tables are a bit crammed to other parties which a lot of brunch spots do.

The food is good! I ordered the chicken and waffles which is what they're popular for, the fried chicken is very crisp and tender on the inside and the waffle is also just as crispy with a good amount of syrup and butter as an addition. I ordered 2 eggs in the side as scrambled and it was also pretty standard just needed to add salt and pepper on it. My girlfriend ordered the memphis chicken breakfast burrito and I enjoyed it too especially with the secret sauce they gave. The potatoes are really good I would order them every time when I come back. Lastly, the pancakes were smaller but also delicious especially the chocolate chips there was so many in it it's definitely a chocolate lover's dream.

A buzzing spot for a very tasty chicken and waffles and other breakfast fare. Chicken was perfectly seasoned and crispy and waffles were equally delicious.

Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, in a bright and lofty setting and a very friendly staff. Ordering and payment is quick and simple with the scan of a QR code.

Also another location in the Dogpatch area. Definitely move this restaurant to the top of your SF breakfast spot rotation!

It's been a while since our last visit, so we were excited to return. Hubs ordered the Nasi Goreng. He noted the chicken was moist, but the dish as a whole was a little bland. Kiddo ordered the C & B plate. He still enjoyed the waffles, and wished there were more. Other kiddo ordered a breakfast burrito - quite filling. This time, I ordered the shakshuka. I enjoyed the dish with the pita and hummus - also quite filling.

We were seated outside near the door - felt like we were sitting in a wind tunnel during our visit. Although they brought our food and water, the service was a bit non-existent otherwise.

i decided to stop by here one morning after an early work meeting. im not usually an eggs benedict type of person but cracked and battered might have converted me lmao. my food came out hella fast so no complaints about wait time! this was spicy ASFFF (that's a good thing for me) and the crispy potatoes were so good. the ratio of food was also perfect it didn't feel like i had too little or too much of any one thing. the fried chicken was also an excellent texture as well! also the little "it's halal y'all!" on their window is sooo cute literally adorable.

Came for a Saturday morning, breakfast with Thor. Got outside seat in the parklet right away. The food was very good. The service was very good. The execution was very poor. They failed to bring out several items of my order and on my eggs they failed to put cheddar cheese. They did bring me eggs with cheddar cheese and finally brought my juice, so they're busy and maybe that's what happened. They were very kind about it though and took care of me right away.

In the beautiful marina. you can find plenty of parking in the neighborhoods nearby by the way. They have both indoor and outdoor seating in the front btw.

Anyway, you order with a QR code after being seated and the food will be brought to you. I WILL say, they surpassed my expectation because I put in a request online for how I wanted my chicken cooked and they did it! I had only eaten here twice before, one day the chicken was crunchy and cooked longer how i like it, the second time not so much. This (3rd) time it was extra crunchy and I was very satisfied.
Plus if you're an orange juice fan, the fresh orange juice (and carrot juice) doesn't disappoint
