Evasion Librairie

I decided to come and have a look through here, but as it turns out, this isn't an English language book store. That probably shouldn't surprise anybody considering that it happens to be in the heart of Brussels. Anyway, yeah, it's basically books that are mostly in French. Still, I do like the feel of wandering through bookshops, even if they happen to be Foreign language bookshops. Still, as it turns out, there are better places for Belgium books.

Excellent place to hunt for bargain books; they are half the price (or less) than new books at stores nearby and in good shape. Big selection of BD (no surprise there), including Tintin (of course). Selection of kids books and adult books on all topics. I mostly browsed the French section, but they have other languages as well, including Dutch and English.

A nice little library. The organization is in need of help but it was a fun place to visit and browse.

This is yet another gem I discovered on "laundry day" while on traveling abroad. This bookstore was at a midpoint between the launderette and where we had brunch.

Time constraints did not permit me to fully explore this shop. I wish I had more time. I picked up some Marvel graphic novels and a book on Ramakrishna--all in French. Plenty of old, and no doubt out of print, books, magazines, and ephemera could be found in here. Truly a gem. If you are into visiting book shops while traveling--you should check out this shop.
