How does RETEVMO work?
RETEVMO is a protein in the body that signals cells to grow and divide. Your body makes RET proteins using instructions given by the RET gene. In certain cancers, changes (mutations) in the RET gene lead to abnormal RET proteins. These abnormal proteins cause cancer cells to grow out of control. RETEVMO is a type of kinase inhibitor called a RET inhibitor. It blocks the RET protein, so the cancer can’t grow and spread as easily.
