"Hands knitting together a brain with yarn"

The primary goal of this course is for learners to develop an understanding of the human condition and consciousness in the 21st century. By studying theories of consciousness, scientific research, new media programs and theories, and other cultural artifacts, we'll examine how new media and artificial intelligence challenge our understanding of humanity and how digital age social engagement is transformed by the acceleration of time and the collapse of space.
