1 Killed In Shooting At Birmingham Motorcycle Club: Police

Two others were injured in the early-morning shooting at Tru-Riders Motorcycle Club, according to police, who are searching for a suspect.

BIRMINGHAM, AL β€” One person was killed and two injured in an early-morning shooting Saturday at Tru-Riders Motorcycle Club in Birmingham, according to police.

Just before 1 a.m. Saturday, North Precinct officers were called to the club at 905 Reverend Abraham Woods Jr. Blvd. for a shooting report, according to police. When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. First responders took her to UAB Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

At the same time, an officer was at Birmingham Police Department headquarters when they heard a nearby crash, police said. Officers found the vehicle in the 1700 block of First Avenue North. The driver, who was also shot, had crashed into two parked cars, according to police.

The driver, later identified as Navari D. Jones, 38, of Bessemer, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Later, police learned a second female victim also went to UAB Hospital to treat a gunshot wound.

Early investigation revealed a fight took place at the motorcycle club prior to shots being fired, police.

No one is in custody in connection with the shooting, police said.
