Birmingham's Red Mountain Theatre Wins Tony Award

Red Mountain Theatre took home a Tony Award on Sunday as part of the production team for Broadway's "Moulin Rouge! The Musical."

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Birmingham's Red Mountain Theatre took home a Tony Award Sunday as part of the production team for Broadway’s "Moulin Rouge! The Musical."

The win marks the second Tony Award for Red Mountain Theatre, which previously took home the Best Revival Of A Musical award for “Once on This Island” in 2018

The stage adaptation of Baz Luhrmann’s 2001 film originally opened at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on July 25, 2019.
