BIRMINGHAM, AL β€” Tropical Storm Grace became Hurricane Grace Wednesday morning as it heads to Mexico, and is expected to make landfall by Friday. The hurricane is expected to affect Alabama in the coming days, as scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are forecast Thursday through Saturday.

Meteorologist James Spann said the storms should come between noon and midnight those days, with the chance of any one location seeing rain each day at 55-65 percent.

The Alabama coast will definitely feel the effects of Grace, Spann said.
