Jefferson State Community College: Employees Honored At Annual “JSCC Celebrates”

Jefferson State honored many dedicated employees during the 8th annual JSCC Celebrates event, held Friday, March 11 at the Judy M. Merritt Building on the Shelby-Hoover Campus.

Jefferson State faculty and staff members gathered to honor employees who had reached milestones of 10, 20, 25, 30 and 40 years of service.

Dean of Economic Development Guin Robinson welcomed those in attendance and shared profiles of the honorees as President Keith Brown presented them with service award plaques.

Special honors were presented to 40-year employee Virginia Silor, and a video tribute recognized the contributions of former JSCC Vice President Dr. Joe Morris.

All attendees enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by the college’s Culinary and Hospitality Institute.
