Passports May Now Be Obtained At Birmingham Public Libraries

Starting this month, travelers can obtain U.S. passports at five different Birmingham Public Library locations.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Trvelers in Birmingham looking to obtain a U.S. passport now have five more options. The Birmingham Public Library announced that, starting September 8, five different library locations will provide photos and passports.

The Central Library downtown and four regional libraries - Five Points West Library, Avondale Library, North Birmingham Library and Springville Road Library - will serve as official Passport Acceptance Facilities. The service will be available during normal operating hours at each of the five libraries.

The library locations are as follows:

  • Avondale Regional Library 509 40th St. South
  • Five Points West Regional Library, 4812 Ave. W
  • North Birmingham Regional Library, 2501 31st Ave N
  • Springville Road Regional Library, 1224 Old Springville Road
