Secret Stages Music Discovery Festival Will Not Return In 2022
Organizers have announced that, after a decade of highlighting up-and-coming artists, the festival will not return in 2022.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — It's a somber day in the Birmingham arts and music scene following the announcement that Secret Stages Music Discovery Festival will not be returning in 2022.

Secret Stages is a two-day music festival that has featured over 50 bands and musicians a year, performing on stages across Birmingham during the first weekend of August.

It is unclear at this time was prompted the decision to do away with the festival.
"We extend a warm and heartfelt thank you to the people, businesses, and public servants of Birmingham," organizers said in a press release on Wednesday. "The first Secret Stages was held in May of 2011. For over a decade we have watched Birmingham change, grow, and improve. We are humbled and honored to have had the opportunity to work with so many who are putting in the effort to make this great city even better than it already is."
