Shooting In West Birmingham Claims Life Of 26-Year-Old Man

A man was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon on Powderly Avenue in west Birmingham.

BIRMINGHAM, AL β€” A man is dead after a shooting in west Birmingham Tueday afternoon. KeAyron Hill, 26, was shot and killed just after 4 p.m. in the 2100 block of Powderly Avenue.

Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said the preliminary investigation indicates that Hill was involved in a verbal altercation with the suspect before he was shot.

"The suspect fled the scene in an unknown make and model vehicle," Mauldin said. "No arrest has been made. Updates will be provided as this case develops."
