Each week, students will explore a different genre such as poetry, fiction, memoir and magazine production as they draft, critique and revise original work. Their work will then be published in The Writers’ Block, a yearly anthology.

The camp will be held at the UAB Spencer Honor’s House from June 13-July 1, and sessions will last from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost of the camp is $800, and attendees can pay an additional $357 for an optional hour of college credit. Full and partial scholarships are available for students who find the fee cost-prohibitive.
