Here are the top three stories today in Mobile:

  1. Juvenile Judge Edmond Naman has been suspended after facing a nepotism complaint filed with the Judicial Inquiry Commission in Mobile. The complaint alleged that Naman appointed his brother-in-law to handle legal matters in the Juvenile Court, according to Presiding Mobile County Circuit Court Judge Michael Youngpeter. As a result, retired District Court Judge George Hardesty has been appointed to fill the role while Naman is suspended, and the length of Naman's suspension remains unknown. (NBC 15 WPMI)
  2. WalletHub's latest report revealed that Mobile has been named one of the unhappiest cities in the United States, ranking 166 overall out of 180 cities evaluated. The city's emotional and physical well-being were ranked at 174 and income and employment at 177, contributing to the overall low ranking. Other cities such as Fremont and San Jose, both in California, as well as Madison, Wisconsin, were among the happiest cities in the report. (WKRG News 5)
