  1. Police are investigating a deadly shooting that involved an officer early Tuesday morning that resulted in one man killed. Neighbors were awakened around 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning to gunshots as a search warrant was being executed and one of the individuals in the home tried to flee out the back window with a rifle before being shot. Several individuals have been taken into custody following the incident. The officer who shot the man will be put on administrative leave as the investigation ensues and the District Attorney's Office will also run an investigation parallel. (Fox 10 News)
  2. The community is caring for a dog that requires surgery after being hit by a car on Highway 98 this past Saturday. Chelsea Merrell and Avery Overstreet were driving along the highway when they noticed a dog on the side of the road that appeared to have been hit by a car; they turned around for the animal as it raised its head in need of help. The two immediately took the pup to a Mobile vet where he was diagnosed with a broken hip and bruised lungs, which requires surgery costing around $8,000 to help the dog recover. The two rescuers said that they believed all life is precious and worth saving and expressed gratitude to the community for resharing posts about the dog and donating. (Fox 10 News)
  3. Mobile police officers arrested two individuals Saturday night after the suspects were found in possession of a gun, drugs, and a detached catalytic convertor. The two arrested were Roosevelt Westry and Tiffany Swinney; police were already searching for Westry for prior crimes committed. Police pulled the two over on Saturday, Mar. 4 near Michael Donald Avenue where they searched the vehicle and found the weapon, drugs, catalytic convertor, burglar tools, and drug paraphernalia.
