  1. Alabama state senators are debating a bill sponsored by Mountain Brook's David Faulkner that would change the size of the Birmingham Water Works Board from nine members to seven. Members currently appointed by the Jefferson County Mayor's Association, the Shelby County Commission and the Blount County Commission, would be replaced by three governor appointees under the proposal.   2. An Apple Store is set to open today at The Summit, close to its WIlliams-Sonoma store location that closed last summer. It's coming to a 100 percent renewable energy building. (Bham Now)
