The City Council accepted a bid from Gillespie Construction for a project that will address long-standing drainage issues on Cherry Street, Lorena Lane and Euclid Avenue, much to the enthusiasm of some local residents. The bid is for $917,368.92, according to Mark Simpson from Schoel Engineering. (Village Living)
  2. Mountain Brook is relatively low on the list of new and existing home sales in the greater Birmingham area, with just 357 total in 2022. Homewood had the most by far with 1,844. The average price in Mountain Brook was over $1 million. (thehomewoodstar.com)
