  1. Scottsdale City Council approved two separate projects at the Paiute Neighborhood Center campus, each with separate funding sources, to "strengthen the city's ability to serve its most vulnerable residents." Voter-approved bonds will be used to replace aging buildings at the Paiute Community Center, which is expected to result in a modern facility with lower maintenance and annual operating costs. A separate project, funded by a combination of federal dollars and monies from the General Fund, involves the creation of 28 affordable housing units at the center. These housing units will be provided at low or no-cost to parents with children working toward independent housing, seniors, and persons with disabilities. You can learn more about these projects here. (City of Scottsdale)
  2. EVO, a popular Italian restaurant, has opened a second location in North Scottsdale! EVO North Scottsdale is located at 15507 N. Scottsdale Road, and the original location remains in Old Town. Guests can enjoy a variety of pizza options in addition to dishes like Crispy Lasagna, Lobster Gnocchi, and the Mafia Burger. You can check out the full menu here. (NewsBreak)
  3. With cooler weather on the horizon, the Monday Mixers fall fitness series has kicked off at Fashion Square Mall. The monthly series, which is hosted on the roof of the Purple Parking Garage near Toca Modera, promotes a healthy lifestyle mixed with a bit of fun, as local restaurants often offer deals for participants to enjoy post workout. This year, Moxies will host a happy hour exclusive to Monday Mixers participants. You can find more information about Monday Mixers and register for future sessions here. (citysuntimes)
