SCOTTSDALE, AZ — A Scottsdale mansion known as "The House of Doors" hit the market with a price tag of nearly $10 million.

The mansion on East Relic Rock Road in the Desert Mountain region of Scottsdale has more than 7,400 square feet, three bedrooms, three full and three half bathrooms and a glass door that opens to a central courtyard filled with native plants.

“The concept very early on was a solid form that’s cracked open to let in light and air while remaining secluded and serene,” architect Wendell Burnette said in a statement. “It was about corralling a piece of the sky and creating privacy.”

The desert estate, which took 12 years to build, comes on the market for the first time since its completion.

Architectural features include landscaping outlined by glass walls. The mansion also sports an indoor-outdoor living space, stainless steel kitchen appliances and a butler's pantry.

The house's main living area is enclosed with four pivoting glass walls that offer full views of the desert. Two guest suites connect to the main house by a 65-foot glass-floored bridge.
