Tempe To Hand Out Free At-Home COVID-19 Tests On Saturday

Each test kit includes two rapid tests and distribution is limited to one kit per household.

TEMPE, AZ β€” The city of Tempe is set to distribute rapid at-home COVID-19 test kits from four city locations on Saturday, according to a news release.

Each kit contains two rapid tests that give results within 15 minutes. You can get a kit at the following locations:

  • 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at Tempe Public Library, 3500 S. Rural Road
  • 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Escalante Multi-Generational Center, 2150 E. Orange St.
  • 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Westside Multi-Generational Center, 715 W. Fifth St.
  • 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at North Tempe Multi-Generational Center, 1555 N. Bridalwreath St.

Distribution will be limited to one kit per household. No identification is required to pick up a kit. Arriving early is advised since the city typically runs out of the free test kits within a few hours.

Those who have any symptoms of COVID-19 are asked to stay home and have someone else pick up a test kit for them. Masks are required inside city facilities.

Positive at-home tests should be self-reported to a primary care doctor or to Maricopa County at 602-506-6767.
