Become a Member of the Parent Advisory Committee

The Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) is currently accepting applications for the 2015-16 Parent Advisory Committee, which helps guide the development of the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), the state-mandated, three-year plan that links school districts’ spending to their specific goals for student achievement.

A key component of the LCAP is meaningful engagement of families, employees, and other community members — including those representing students who are low-income and English Language Learners, as well as foster youth. That engagement occurs via the PAC, which provides input and feedback on the development of the LCAP. This year, the PAC will include representatives from each school, as well as from the Parent Teacher Advisory Council and the District English Language Advisory Committee. Seven “at-large” members will also be selected.

The committee meets several times a year.

Applications for the PAC are available in Arabic, Cantonese, English, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese. They are due by 3:00 pm on October 16, 2015. You can find applications at:
