OAK GLEN, CA — The only thing tougher than finding a good steak house is trying to chew through a dry steak. With the help of the reservation site Open Table, Patch found ten of the Inland Empire's best restaurants to order a steak that will "melt in your mouth," according to reviews.

Open Table shared its top Diners' Choice Best Steak Restaurants for the Inland Empire based on reader reviews and the most mentioned menu items this month. Patch added a few local favorites to round out the top 10 steak houses around.

The online restaurant reservations site regularly analyzes more than 400,000 new diner reviews to determine what people are eating and how they like the service. This month, they found the most-visited steak houses were in Oak Glen, Palm Springs, Rancho Cucamonga, Redlands, Riverside, Temecula and Yucaipa.

  • Hickory Ranch Steakhouse, Yucaipa — Known for a choice of steak, ribs, chicken and seafood, this is a great place for large parties. Meals are $30 and under, and reviewers love the prime rib, rib eye steak and Swiss steak. Many call this is a neighborhood gem for group gatherings and special occasions.
  • The Sycamore Inn Prime Steak House- Rancho Cucamonga: The historic Sycamore Inn Prime Steakhouse has been a "landmark of hospitality on the legendary Route 66 since 1848.     "The food was great and it was a family atmosphere," one reviewer said. "The steaks were excellent, cooked perfectly and practically melted in your mouth."
  • Duane's Prime Steaks & Seafood Restaurant - Riverside: This AAA-Four Diamond Award-winning restaurant has detailed wine lists worthy of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. Their USDA Prime steak and fresh seafood make this ideal for special occasions. Over 2,000 reviewers say Duane's is "fancy" and "romantic" with favored menu items including the rib eye steak, bone-in rib eye steak, and lobster bisque. Expect to spend more than $50 per plate.

    More than 1,000 reviewers say this restaurant is charming — a neighborhood favorite for special occasions. Here, diners love the filet Mignon, wedge salad and vanilla custard creme brulee for dessert.
