SAN JACINTO, CA — The Ramona Humane Society is waiving adoption fees on dogs weighing more than 40 pounds as part of the ongoing "Live Large" campaign that aims to get big pooches into loving, forever homes.

The campaign was launched by Best Friends Animal Society to promote the adoption of larger dogs, which often have more difficulty being placed, according to officials.

Adoption fees will be waived until Jan. 31, but adopters will still need to purchase a dog license.
