CeeLo Green Slated To Perform At Morongo Casino Resort & Spa

94.7 The Wave will host the Grammy Award-winning hip-hop and R&B artist CeeLo Green at the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa on Friday, November 10.

Born as Thomas DeCarlo Johnson, CeeLo was among the pioneers of Southern hip-hop in the 1990s as part of the group Goodie Mob before landing massive pop hits in the 2000s. His first two albums, “Cee-Lo Green and His Perfect Imperfections” (2002) and “Cee-Lo Green...Is the Soul Machine” (2004), landed in the Top 30 of the Billboard 200. The next year, he produced the hit “Don’t Cha” (2005) by the Pussycat Dolls and “Crazy” by Gnarls Barkley in 2006.

CeeLo’s 2010 solo album “The Lady Killer” featured the gleefully vulgar kiss-off hit, retitled “Forget You.” Co-written by Bruno Mars, the song became an international hit, and won a Grammy for Best Urban/Alternative Performance.

Known for his vibrant fashion sense and dynamic stage presence, CeeLo was a coach on the TV reality show “The Voice” for four seasons where he shared his expertise on the music industry by mentoring aspiring artists.
