Electrical Cable Falls Into I-10 Lanes During Beaumont Morning Commute

A large amount of electrical cords ended up on the I-10 Freeway near Beaumont, tangling traffic Wednesday morning.

BEAUMONT, CA — Drivers heading westbound on I-10 through Beaumont, watch out for a spool of electrical cord! The cable fell onto the roadway just before the Beaumont Avenue exit, California Highway Patrol warned.

Shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday, drivers told California Highway Patrol dispatch that a large quantity of cable fell from a truck and landed in the #1 and #2 lanes, disrupting traffic through Beaumont.

A traffic break may be necessary to clean up the road and remove the large amount of cable from the roadway.
