Fourth Victim Dies After Riverside Plane Crash

"It's a sad day today... God needed another angel."

RIVERSIDE, CA – One of two women who initially survived a terrible plane crash into a Southern California home last week has died of her injuries, police and loved ones reported Wednesday. Stacey Pierce "...is now at peace with her parents."

"It's a sad day today... God needed another angel," friend Sheryll Van Gelder wrote on a GoFundMe page that had been established to help the Pierce family. "Her injuries were severe and nothing but a miracle could've saved her. Please pray for her family."

Officials with the San Bernardino County coroner's office tell Patch that Pierce, whose full name was Joanne Stacey Pierce, died at 9:21 p.m. Tuesday. She was 46.

Pierce's parents, 83-year-old Nouri Hijazi and his wife 67-year-old Dana Hijazi, died moments after a Cessna 310Q crashed in the 6400 block of Rhonda Road, just a half-mile east of the Riverside Municipal Airport on Feb. 27, causing a fire that destroyed two homes, according to police and coroner's officials. Twenty-two-year-old Adine Farelas also died in the crash. All were residents of San Jose.

Pierce and one other woman were both thrown from the plane and into a home during the crash, police said. They were rushed to area hospitals.

As of Wednesday, more than $25,000 had been raised for the Pierce family via GoFundMe. Click here if you would like to donate.

"Please help out in any way you can," Van Gelder wrote. "[The family] now have mounting medical bills, travel expenses and 3 funerals... And Pray... Please keep praying... This family has a long road of healing and grieving ahead of them."
