CABAZON, CA — Italian-born chef Fabio Viviani, a "Top Chef" fan favorite, is hosting a free, virtual cooking class Sunday, courtesy of Morongo Casino Resort & Spa, where he'll share the secrets to his grandma’s meatballs and tomato sauce.

“My 'Grandma’s Meatballs and Marinara' is one of my favorite dishes to make because it brings back wonderful warm memories of time spent with my family in the kitchen,” said the restaurateur and cookbook author, a regular on "Good Morning America," "The Rachael Ray Show" and the Food Network.

"To be able to share this scrumptious memory with others fills my heart with joy,” added Viviani, who appeared on three seasons of Bravo's "Top Chef," once coming in as “Fan Favorite.”

Registrants to the Morongo-sponsored class will receive a link to recipe cards, listing ingredients needed to cook along with Viviani or to recreate the dish later. The event will include a question-and-answer session with the chef, and 25 attendees also will win at-home meal kits, valued at $200, with the featured dish's ingredients.
