Lonnie Turner

March 15, 1958 - November 30, 2018

On Friday, November 30, 2018, Lonnie Turner, loving husband and father passed away at the age of 60 from complications of a stroke.

Lonnie was born March 15, 1958 in Lancaster, CA to Franklin and Florence (Bias) Turner. He was a graduate of Cajon High School, 1976. He was owner/operator of Turner CNC in Gardnerville, NV for 1.5 years, previously of Calimesa, CA for 20 years. On October 7, 1985 he married Karen Ross and they raised one son, Jeffrey (24) also of Gardnerville, NV.

Lonnie was one of the most friendly, likable people you could meet. His enthusiasm for life and work was contagious. His passion for perfection in the CNC parts he made kept his products in demand from many customers. He was an inventor of several Dodge diesel parts and created a diesel cap that was copied by China as well as other countries. He was an avid shooter and belonged to a couple gun/shooting clubs.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his father, Franklin in 2001. He is survived by his mother Florence, brother E. Dwayne, wife Karen, son Jeff, nephews, a niece, aunt, uncle, several cousins and second cousins.

Graveside service will be held in NV on December 16th, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Garden Cemetery, 1536 Douglas Ave, Gardnerville, NV 89410.

A memorial/celebration of life will be held in CA on December 22nd, 2018 at noon at the Banning Sportsman’s Club, 250 Mias Canyon Rd, Banning, CA 92220.

Flowers may be sent to Fitzhenry’s Funeral Home, 1637 Esmeralda Pl., Minden, NV 89423.
