In-N-Out Burger Coming To Beaumont

Plans approved for the iconic burger joint, with its famed Double-Doubles, shakes, fries & not-so-secret menu, to join new shopping complex

BEAUMONT, CA — Double-Double alert!

Beaumont is poised to land its first In-N-Out Burger, as officials reported today that plans were approved for a location at 2nd Street and Commerce Way.

The legendary fast-food eatery has an estimated opening date of spring 2020 and will be built as part of the area's shopping complex, tentatively called "San Gorgonio Village," according to Kyle Warsinski, the city's economic development manager.

In-N-Out, founded by Harry and Esther Snyder in 1948 as a tiny, drive-thru hamburger stand in Baldwin Park, is a California icon serving up burgers, including the biggie "Double-Double," its signature spread, shakes, fries and its "not-so-secret menu," with burger options for "animal-style," with a mustard-cooked patty, and "protein-style," essentially lettuce standing in for a bun.

Currently the closest In-N-Out restaurants to Beaumont include locations in Cabazon, Yucaipa and Moreno Valley.

The Beaumont city council and planning commission gave the green light years ago to the "San Gorgonio Village"development, which will be the new In-N-Out's future home, but progress slowed as the recession hit, Warsinski said. As the economy now has gained steam, construction, led by Laguna Beach-based developers Wood Investments Companies, is resuming with several businesses planned to go in around the existing Kohl's store.

Along with In-N-Out, other tenants will include a Grocery Outlet, Five Below discount retailer, an Ulta Beauty store, a Planet Fitness gym and a 12-screen movie theater. Estimated full completion is projected for the end of 2020, Warsinski said.
