Quake Rattles Riverside County

A small quake with an epicenter northeast of San Jacinto rattled the region Tuesday morning.

SAN JACINTO, CA — A 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck near San Jacinto in Riverside County at 8:12 a.m. Wednesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was centered 3.4 miles northeast of San Jacinto and 4.2 miles north of Valle Vista.

It was about 8 miles deep.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.
