LEGOLAND, CA Opens New DUPLO Playtown

I'd been waiting for a reason to go down to check out what's new at LEGOLAND, CA. I attended the Duplo Playtown opening.

Along with the opening of the DUPLO Playtown, LEGOLAND, CA made a generous $80K donation to Ronald McDonald House (RMH) Charities of San Diego and Southern California. The RMH Long Beach house is a member of the RMH Southern California. There were many RMH families present, some visiting LEGOLAND, CA for the first time.

DUPLO Playtown has moved. What's going in at the 'old' location is still a secret. My guess is a bigger Friends area... What's yours?

Everything is new in the DUPLO Playtown. A new train, soft floors to cushion little knees attached to the unstable legs of new walkers. It's a great location for the littles (and for families with littles) to take a break.

If you visit LEGOLAND frequently, there are a few changes that I'd like to share with you.

The LEGO City Deep Sea Adventure is one of my new favorites. You can take a ride on one of the submarines, as you seek treasure in the waters beyond. I must share with you that the 'treasure' at the end of the ride, has changed and no longer includes tiny special parts.

The other thing I would like to share with you is the new Apolocalypseburg scenes from the LEGO Movie 2 movie. I am including a video of some of the scenes below, but for those of you who want to see the actual sets in person... Well, you'll just have to go yourself.

Thanks for reading!

I'm planning some awesome fun with LEGO Bricks this summer, at Long Beach's Shoreline Village. Were building a Smart City using LEGO Bricks, learning about Computer Vision processing, LEGO robot cars and DIY Robocars. We're creating solutions for the Inventing (Open) competition of the World Robot Olympiad, that will be held on August 3rd. For more information, contact Trish at info(at)makersville.net. I'm learning to share on the Squigglemom channel.
