Southland Gas Prices Continues to Drop; Where to Get the Cheapest Gas in Belmont Shore-Naples

The average price is 4.5 cents less than a week ago and $1.365 lower than one year ago but 1.7 cents more than one month ago.

LOS ANGELES, CA - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Friday for the 10th consecutive day, decreasing seven-tenths of a cent to $2.915.

The average price has dropped 6.3 cents over the past 10 days, including six-tenths of a cent on Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The declines began immediately after the average price rose to its highest amount since Jan. 14.

The average price is 4.5 cents less than a week ago and $1.365 lower than one year ago but 1.7 cents more than one month ago.

The Orange County average price dropped for the ninth consecutive day, decreasing a half-cent to $2.906. It has dropped 5.8 cents over the past nine days, including seven-tenths of a cent on Thursday.

The Orange County average price is 4.7 cents less than one week ago and $1.342 lower than one year ago but 3.8 cents higher than one month ago.

"As is often the case, drivers on the West Coast continue to pay the most expensive gas prices in the nation; but we continue to experience the most substantial yearly savings at the pump,” said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager.
