LOS ANGELES, CA — A 34-year-old man who allegedly carved an anti- Semitic slur into a door at a synagogue and threatened a man two days later at Palisades Park recently pleaded not guilty to two felony charges.

Cameron Brunson Blake is charged with one count each of vandalism of religious property -- a hate crime -- and criminal threats, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

Blake is accused of vandalizing the door at the synagogue in the West Los Angeles area on Aug. 10, the District Attorney's Office said.

He is due back Sept. 24 in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom, when a date is scheduled to be set for a hearing to determine if there is sufficient evidence to require him to stand trial.

If convicted as charged, Blake could face up to six years and eight months in state prison the District Attorney's Office said.
