Danville Election Results: Peterson Ahead In SRVUSD Board Race

DANVILLE, CA — The polls are closed in Danville, and preliminary results are coming in.

Real-time results are below. Scroll down to see the latest totals. Totals are preliminary and not official until certified by Contra Costa County.

Danville’s Town Council voted to cancel its municipal election because no one filed papers to challenge incumbent council members Karen Stepper and Robert Storer.

However, plenty of other competitive races are taking place, including:

  • The race to represent San Ramon Valley Unified School District Board’s Area 1, located north of Danville. Jerome Pandell, Michelle Petersen and Jesse vanZee are competing to fill the seat left vacant when Trustee Ken Mintz decided not to run for re-election. Suzanne Wong Ordway (Area 4) and Rachel Hurd (Area 5) are running unopposed. As of 11 p.m., Petersen led with 3,483 votes; VanZee had 3,293 votes, and Jerome Pandell had 1,540 votes.

  • The race to represent Area 4 on the Contra Costa County Board of Education. Incumbent Mike Maxwell is running against challengers Cheri Calcagno and Anaite Letona. As of 11 p.m., Maxwell led with 17,481 votes. Calcagno had 11,954 votes, and Letona had 10,162 votes.
