Wild Wonders, Inc

Zoo Camp at Wild Wonders is filled with animal interactions, crafts and activities, and great fun in the outdoors.
If your child is between 6 and 12, they’re going to love this awesome camp. Kids spend half a day with our staff of biologists, life scientists, and keepers learning about animals from all over the world. Campers will help care for a selection of the 100+ exotic animals that make their forever home at Wild Wonders.
Camps begin on June 11, and are on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 9:00 – 1:00.&nbsp;&nbsp;Our final camp for 2024 will be August 1.&nbsp;The price is $90/child/day.

For the past twenty years, audiences have been requesting North Coast Repertory Theatre to bring back the side-splitting, furiously paced farce, DON’T DRESS FOR DINNER, soon to reappear July 17 to Aug. 11. Playwright Marc Camoletti writes in the style of a classic French farce, full of mistaken identities, rapid-fire dialogue and unexpected twists. His recipe for comedic confusion combines some sexy hanky-panky, hilarious mix ups and of course, a gourmet dinner in a French country house. Audiences will be laughing from start to finish at the antics of these lovable (and sometimes not-so-lovable) characters. Box offices sales have been especially strong, so order tickets early to avoid disappointment. 
Christopher Williams directs Brian Robert Burns,* Kim Morgan Dean,* Veronica Dunne*, Brandon Pierce,* Katy Tang,* and Jared Van Heel.* Vernon Willett is the Production Stage Manager; Jeruel Canda is the Production Assistant. The Design Team includes Marty Burnett (Resident Scenic Designer), Matthew Novotny (Lighting Design) Elisa Benzoni (Costume Design), Chris Leussman (Sound Design), and Kevin Williams (Props).

DON’T DRESS FOR DINNER previews begin on Wednesday, July 17. Opening Night is set for Saturday, July 20, at 8 pm. The play runs Wednesday, July 17, to Sunday, August 11, with performances on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7 pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 pm and Sundays at 7 pm. Added matinee performances at 2pm on Friday, July 19, and Wednesday, Aug. 7. A talkback session with the director and cast is scheduled for July 26.

The Theatre School @ North Coast Rep presents the climactic Shakespearean tragedy, Hamlet, as its next student production! The ghost of the King of Denmark tells his son Hamlet to avenge his murder by killing the new king, Hamlet’s uncle. Hamlet feigns madness, contemplates life and death, and seeks revenge. His uncle, fearing for his life, also devises plots to kill Hamlet. The play ends with a duel, during which the King, Queen, Hamlet’s opponent and Hamlet himself are all killed. 
Director Benjamin Cole is proud to share the talents of his student cast. “Especially with our outdoor summer Shakespeare production we get some exceptional teen performers,” Cole beams. “Knowing we were going to have the exciting challenge of three different outdoor venues in three different cities I wanted to offer a show that would really highlight some of the best of what we can do,” he declares. Leading actor playing the role of Hamlet, Kai Bunyak, adds, “The character of Hamlet is such a universal challenge and privilege to portray. He has been played by countless individuals, across cultures, experience levels, and backgrounds, and as a genderqueer teen I am honored to step into that legacy. In our production, I hope you can see what a group of fired up young performers can bring to this centuries-old tale.” The show runs a breathtaking 90 minutes with no intermission and hopes to rouse audience’s appreciation and understanding of live Shakespeare performance. Additional production staff includes Assistant Director, Steve Smith and Stage Manager, Paul Smith.
The Theatre School @ North Coast Rep proudly delivers high-quality theatre instruction and seven student theatre productions throughout the year, offering accessible and fun training for various age groups. Performances are July 18th through 20th at the Birdwing Open Air Classroom: 3201 Via de la Valle, Del Mar, CA 92014; July 25th through 27th at La Colonia Park: 715 Valley Ave., Solana Beach, CA 92075; and August 1st through 3rd
at the San Diego Botanic Garden: 300 Quail Gardens Dr., Encinitas, CA 92024 with show times at 5:30PM. Admission is free at all three venues, but please call to reserve a spot for the August 1st
performance as space is limited that day: 760-436-3036. No advance reservations are needed for any other performances. Audiences are encouraged to bring their own outdoor seating and blankets.
