12-Year-Old Boy On E-Bike Hit By Car In Dublin: Police

The boy was hit while riding on the crosswalk of Fallon Road and Gleason Drive, police said.

DUBLIN, CA — A 12-year-old boy was struck while riding his e-bike in Dublin Friday morning, Dublin police said.

At 7:37 a.m., police were called to reports of a juvenile struck in the crosswalk of Fallon Road and Gleason Drive by a car traveling southbound on Fallon Road. The boy was wearing a helmet and suffered minor abrasions, police said. He is currently being treated at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in Oakland.

The driver remained on-scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said. Drugs or alcohol do not seem to be a factor in the incident.

Police are withholding the name of the driver and victim.

In March, a 10-year-old boy sustained significant injuries after he was struck by a car while riding his bike westbound on Davona Drive near Chatham Street in Dublin.
