8 Tri-Valley Neighborhoods Named As Alameda County's Best: LIST

PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton cleaned up in a recent ranking of the top neighborhoods in Alameda County.

Twenty-three of the top 25 Alameda County spots in Niche's ranking for the best places to raise a family in 2021 went to Pleasanton. The other two contenders were in Berkeley.

The rankings were calculated by considering factors such as the quality of housing and public schools, higher education rate, cost of living, crime and family amenities, according to Niche.

10. Foothill Place

Several of these neighborhoods were also ranked among the overall best places to live in Alameda County, though Berkeley had the bulk of the top contenders. Local contenders in the top 25 included:
