Gas Prices Continue To Drop Near Escondido

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County has dropped for the 35th time in 37 days.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Wednesday for the 16th consecutive day and 35th time in 37 days, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $3.073, its lowest amount since Nov. 1.

The average price has dropped 20.4 cents over the past 37 days, including 1 cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 5.3 cents less than one week ago and 15.6 cents lower than one month ago, but 35.6 cents more than one year ago.

The average price dropped for 13 consecutive days, rose two-tenths of a cent on Nov. 27, resumed dropping Nov. 28 and was unchanged Dec. 4.

A 12-cent per gallon gasoline tax increase went into effect on Nov. 1.
