Get Inked With A Farmer Boys Tattoo & Eat Free For A Year

ESCONDIDO, CA — To celebrate its 40th birthday, the Farmer Boys chain, with two locations in Escondido, is offering a year of free burgers to die-hard fans who get permanent tattoos of the restaurant's logo designs.

Riverside-based Farmer Boys has operated eateries in Southern California since 1981, making a name for itself with its burgers, all-day breakfasts, charity fundraising and such unconventional promotions as briefly changing its name to "Farmer Girls" to mark Women's History Month and hiring a pork-loving teacher as a bacon intern.

Continuing its eclectic legacy, Farmer Boys now is offering free tattoos to its loyal following in a partnership with West Hollywood's The Honorable Society tattoo shop.

"As we reflect on the last 40 years, we are overjoyed with the memories we have created with our loyal guests, franchisees and team members” said Larry Rusinko, Farmer Boys vice president and chief marketing officer. “We are celebrating this milestone by offering our Superfans the opportunity to pay homage to Farmer Boys and get free burgers for a year!"

Those interested in the free tattoo and burger deal can select from three, permanent-color designs measuring about 2-inches square. Participants must be at least 18 years old. Sign-ups are online here, and due by May 21.

For patrons not so inclined as to make their Farmer Boys' fondness permanent, temporary tattoos will be given away for a limited time at participating locations. The temporary tattoos also include a code to unlock a 40th anniversary offer in the Very Important Farmer (VIF) Loyalty Club app.

Founded by five brothers, Farmer Boys currently operates restaurants in California, Nevada and Arizona. Find menu info here and locales here.

The freebie tattoo and burger offer also is available at Rockin' Ink Tattoo, inside the Westgate Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
