ESCONDIDO, CA — A wind advisory remains in effect for parts of San Diego County as gusty Santa Ana winds continue to blow across the region.

The wind advisory is in effect through 2 p.m. Tuesday for the San Diego County mountains and valleys, including the city of Escondido.

Northeast winds are expected between 25 to 35 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

"The strongest winds are expected for tonight into Tuesday morning," forecasters said. "Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down."

Weather officials advised the public to use caution when driving, especially if operating high-profile vehicles. Residents were told to secure outdoor objects.
