Multi-Vehicle Crash Slows Traffic On I-15 In Escondido

Traffic is backed up in the area.

ESCONDIDO, CA – A multi-vehicle crash slowed traffic Thursday morning on Interstate 15 in North County.

A sedan sparked on fire after reportedly hitting a Caltrans truck, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash was first reported at 10:19 a.m. on northbound I-15 at Ninth Street in Escondido.

The northbound I-15 Express Lanes and far right lane were blocked at Ninth Street due to the crash, according to Caltrans. Traffic was backed up in the area.
