Police Seek Suspect Who Took $6,000 Nikon Camera From Morgan Hill Gas Station

Morgan Hill police are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect that grabbed an expensive camera left in a gas station bathroom.

MORGAN HILL, CA - Morgan Hill police are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect that grabbed an expensive camera left in a gas station bathroom and took off.

According to Morgan Hill police, on Sunday, July 24, the owner of a $6,000 Nikon camera accidentally left his camera in a bathroom stall at the Chevron Gas Station located on Cochrane Road just after 10:00 a.m. Shortly thereafter, police say the unknown suspect entered the gas station without a camera.

According to authorities, the suspect entered the bathroom, then exited with the victim's Nikon camera in his left hand. Police say the suspect got into a grey sedan and took off in an unknown direction.

According to Morgan Hill police, the victim who lost the camera is visiting from China, and only stopped in Morgan Hill on his way to San Francisco. Police say the Chinese victim has many family photos on the camera, and is hoping for its return.
