Emanate Health Doctor to Speak on Revolutionary Heart Treatment

COVINA, Calif. – Frank Lin, MD, an Emanate Health cardiologist who specializes in structural heart procedures, will speak during a Facebook Live, February 10, 2021, at 11 a.m. about the innovative MitraClip procedure, which is a minimally invasive heart treatment that is saving lives, even during the pandemic. The event will encourage audience participation to ask questions and receive responses in real time.

The MitraClip treatment is specifically designed for patients who suffer from severe mitral regurgitation but are unable to undergo traditional open heart surgery. Mitral valve regurgitation is a condition in which the heart's mitral valve doesn't close tightly, which allows blood to flow backward in the heart. Symptoms include shortness of breath, fatigue, lightheadedness and a rapid, fluttering heartbeat.
