Glendora Police Department's Citizen's Academy Returns This Fall

The free academy is meant to help teach Glendora residents how the police department operates.

GLENDORA, CA — Residents hoping to learn about how the Glendora Police Department operates will get their chance next month when the agency’s Citizens Academy returns.

Applications for the eight-week-long program are now being accepted, according to the department. Participants will learn about how the police department handles jail services, fraud cases and even take part in a mock traffic stop.

Classes meet every Wednesday beginning Oct. 20 and will go from 6 to 9 p.m.

The class is limited to 25 students, and qualified applicants must be a resident of Glendora, work in the city or currently attend Citrus College.
