This Week in California History: The Glove Doesn't Fit OJ, Google Is Born

OJ's acquitted, James Dean Dies, Google enters the world, A's Dominate, and Spanish Explorers 'discover' San Diego.

Where would we be without this week in history? It was this week in history that the Model T was built, the ipod invented, Google debuted, and California was set free from Spanish rule.

In California, Sept. 27 also kicks off a historically bad week for wildfires from San Diego to Humboldt County. But it’s also the time of year that our favorite baseball teams catch fire with the Oakland A’s, San Francisco Giants and Padres all clinching titles in this week in history. Poor Dodgers. It was this day in history that they landed the dubious distinction of coming in dead last.

Here are the highlights of Sept. 27 to Oct. 3 in California history courtesy of thisweekincaliforniahistory.com and thepeoplehistory.com
