Which Summer Movie Did You See, Glendora?

Dive in with "The Meg?" Go on a "Mission: Impossible - Fallout" journey? Or did you book "Hotel Transylvania 3" with the kiddos? Tell us!

It's a summer of blockbuster wins and flops. Either way you slice it, the prehistoric shark adventure "The Meg" had a monstrous opening weekend at North American theaters, chewing through the competition to claim the top spot at the box office, according to final figures released Monday.

"The Meg" opened with $45.4 million between Friday and Sunday to sink the competition at theaters, according to box-office tracker comScore.

The big shark pushed Tom Cruise's "Mission: Impossible - Fallout" and its $19.4 million weekend haul into second place. Disney's "Christopher Robin" took third place with a $13 million weekend.

Rounding out the top 10 films of the weekend were "The Spy Who Dumped Me" ($6.5 million); "Mamma Mia! Here We Go again" ($5.9 million); "The Equalizer 2" ($5.4 million); "Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation" ($5.2 million); and "Ant-Man and the Wasp" ($4.1 million).
