HIGHLAND PARK, CA — More than a dozen cars and part of the building were damaged in a fire at a four-story apartment complex in Highland Park, fire officials said Sunday.

The fire was reported at 2:04 a.m. at 5860 E. Benner St. and took nearly an hour to extinguish, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange said.
