HOLLYWOOD, CA — You should probably avoid the 101 Freeway Friday morning — more so than usual.

Two lanes of the northbound Hollywood Freeway are closed between Sunset Boulevard and Hollywood Boulevard. The lanes will reopen at noon, according to Southern California 511.

As of 10 a.m., traffic was backed up for about two miles to the Melrose Avenue exit. Motorists should expect that two-mile drive to take about 20 minutes, according to a SigAlert.
