101 Freeway SigAlert: Pedestrian Killed At Santa Monica Boulevard

The California Highway Patrol issued an ongoing SigAlert, and commuters are advised to expect delays.

The crash was reported shortly after 5:30 a.m. Monday on the southbound side of the Hollywood (101) Freeway, and the California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert, extending it for another hour shortly before 9 a.m.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A person was struck and killed on the Hollywood (101) Freeway at Santa Monica Boulevard Monday morning, triggering an ongoing SigAlert.

The crash was reported shortly after 5:30 a.m. Monday on the southbound side of the freeway, and the California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert, extending it for another hour shortly before 9 a.m.

As of 9 a.m., the 3 and 4 lanes remained closed, and the Santa Monica Boulevard onramp was also shut down.
