Abandoned Apartment Building Catches Fire In Hollywood: LAFD

An abandoned apartment building caught fire in Hollywood over the weekend, according to the LAFD.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — An abandoned apartment building one block east of the Capitol Records Building caught fire over the weekend, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to 1765 N. Vista del Mar Ave. Saturday at around 1:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found the two-story apartment building "well involved" with fire, the LAFD said.

It took 32 firefighters 19 minutes to access, confine and fully extinguish the flames.

There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
