Dead Body Found By State Route 101 On Ramp, CHP Closes Lane

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A person's dead body was found near the southbound U.S. State Route 101 Monday morning, prompting a response from California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles Police Department.

The body was found near the Melrose Avenue on ramp at 9:33 a.m. according to CHP. LAPD was on the scene, along with a coroner, to investigate.

The right lane of the on ramp to the southbound U.S. State Route was temporarily closed as of 10:08 a.m. The person's name and cause of death weren't immediately available.
